Brazilian Butt Lift

BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT is a two step sculpturing and filling technique that enhances the roundedness and lift appearance of the butt.

At Bella Forma Cosmetic Surgery Center, Brazilian butt lift evolved into a two step procedure: 1) subtractive – Liposuction is performed around the gluteal area to remove fat in a certain way that improves form and contouring. A procedure called Lipo-V-plasty of the sacral area is sometimes used to sculpture the upper cheek area. 2) Additive – fat removed during liposuction is processed and transferred using special cannulas in order to achieve projection and lift depending on patient’s desire. Brazilian Butt Lift is best achieved in conjunction with a liposculpturing of the body to achieve a homogenous appearance.

CONSULTATION
After arriving at the clinic, you will be asked to fill out a few forms with information about your medical history and desires for your new body image. You will meet Dr. Janho and his assistant to discuss your goals for your new body. You will be asked to disrobe, and will receive a full physical examination.
During this exam, Dr. Janho will evaluate your bone structure, skin elasticity, medical abnormalities, muscle tone, distribution of fat, and scarring tendencies. In addition, it is important to assess precious liposuction performed to plan a successful outcome.

The exam will consist of gentle pinching, and you will have the opportunity to bring attention to any concerns you may have with your body. Once the physical exam is complete, you will get dressed and discuss recommended procedures. Any questions will be answered by the doctor at this time. You will then meet with the patient coordinator to discuss pricing. Bella Forma Cosmetic Surgery Center does not believe in hidden fees. Your quote will be all inclusive meaning that there will not be additional charges for blood work, garments, or prescription drugs. In addition, your fee will include a series of 10 lymphatic drainage massages, which are crucial to your recovery.

RECOVERY
Your incisions are left open to allow the numbing solution left in your body to drain. You will drain a pink colored fluid for 24-72 hours after your surgery, with minimal draining continuing for a week. This is normal, and beneficial to your body to get rid of this fluid. You will have difficulty sleeping, have a decreased appetite, and should drink as much water as tolerated. We recommend that patients avoid direct pressure on the mid to upper part of the buttocks for 6 weeks. While driving patient can be supported with a rolled towel or pillow to be placed under the lower mid back and upper back thighs on the bony part of the pelvis in a pianist position. At home use pianist posture and avoid reclining on your buttock.

The next day you will take your garment off in a sitting position. Garment should be worn 24/7 for the first week prior to surgery as tolerated by patient. Do not sleep with garment during the second week after surgery. Your garment should be laundered, and you should shower normally. DO NOT sit in a bathtub. After shower, pat your body dry and put your garment back on with pads placed inside over you draining incisions. Then you will return to the clinic for your first lymphatic drainage massage where you will be drained internally and externally. Massage is crucial to molding the body, and easing your recovery.

You should expect to be more tired than normal, and you should not exercise. The most important thing to remember is to “listen” to your body. Your body will tell you if you have over done it. You can typically go back to work in about a week, and resume sexual activity as you feel like it.
