The mild salicylic acid formulations safely exfoliate skin and lifts away dead, dull-looking cells from the skin’s surface, triggering cellular renewal, and bringing healthy, young cells to the surface. This increase in cellular turnover helps to fade the appearance of age-related pigment spots, decrease surface roughness and reduce the appearance of fine lines. β-LIFTx® is also useful in reducing the overall visibility of melasma.

Unlike some other acid chemical peels, β-LIFTx® salicylic acid peels can penetrate oily substance (sebum) in hair follicles and exfoliate pores making it ideal for acne-prone and oily skin types. When used in conjuction with an acne treatment regimen, a series of β-LIFTx® peels administered at periodic intervals, may help sustain the beneficial effects of the acne regimen over time, resulting in clearer-looking skin.

Skin Care Tips

Daily use of a broad spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30.

Gently cleanse your face twice daily.

Apply Theraplex® HydroloLotion daily to moisturize the skin and minimize the appearance of peeling and flaking.

Avoid rubbing or picking your skin.

Avoid any products or treatments which might be irritating to your skin such as granular scrubs or masks which must be pulled or rolled off.

Wait at leat a week before having any additional procedures, such as microdermabrasion, or before having a professional cleasing treatment or facial.

Consult your physician if any unexpected conditions occur following the procedure.

What to Expect During The Procedure

After you and your physician have determined that β-LIFTx® is right for you, the rest is easy.

You will begin ny thoroughly washing your face with a gentle cleanser. Alcohol PreCleanse pads may be used to prepare your skin for the β-LIFTx® peel procedure.

Next the β-LIFTx® peel solution is applied to your skin. Within the first minute or two of application, a translucent white mask will begin to appear on the surface of your skin. You will feel a slight stinging and burning sentation. The discomfort caused from the burning and stinging should peak and begin to subside within minutes of application.

Upon completion of the peel generally within five minutes, you will rinse the translucent mask off your skin and apply Theraplex® HydroLotion moisturizer to hydrate your skin.

Little To No Downtime

With β-LIFTx® there is litthe to no downtime. While there may be an added touch of a rosy-glow to your skin, this is only temporary. Over the next day or two, your skin will become noticeably tighter and then your skin will begin to peel. The actual degree and lenght of peeling may vary anywhere from being invisible to mild to noticeable peeling and flaking. This will depend on your skin type and other factors which your physician can discuss with you.

Following your procedure, it is important to moisturize frequently to prevent moisture loss. Theraplex® HydroLotion is a noncomedogenic, fragrance free and hypoallergenic moisturizer formulated with a special petrolatum fraction to provide long-lasting moisturization.
