Digestive Health

The human digestive tract is essentially a thirty-foot tube that begins at our mouth and ends at the anus. If you are not having at least one bowel movement a day, I can assure you that you are experiencing problems such as abdominal bloating and gas, acid reflux, stomach upset and nausea, body odor and excess abdominal weight. Imbalances in the digestive tract can affect overall well-being

Many factors interfere with proper digestion: toxins, synthetic ingredients the body is not able to digest, insufficient fiber, missing essential fatty acids, low levels of “good friendly” bacteria, and not enough enzymes to assist with digestion.

Many of these problems originate in the colon when wastes and synthetic substances build up along the inside of the colon, creating a thick, black and slimy sludge. Over time, this fecal matter hardens and it covers the colon’s inner walls weakening the peristalsis. When the colon becomes sluggish, feces linger longer. The feces decay and putrefy; creating gas and causing bloating and other digestive problems.

It is crucial to chew properly, take digestive enzymes with food, and eat the right fiber and to make sure your bowels are properly eliminated. The standard American diet lacks fermented foods, lack exercise and inadequate amounts of water and fiber, which means that most people do not have healthy colons and proper elimination. Also, you must regularly incorporate colon hydrotherapy as a regimen in your plan for healthier digestive tract.
